Reds outlast Bulls in Brisbane

QUEENSLAND kept in touch with the Super Rugby leaders with a 23-18 win over the Bulls at Lang Park on Saturday night.

In Saturday's earlier contest, the Crusaders dismantled the Kings 55-20 in a seven-tries-to-two victory in Christchurch.

And in the late fixture the Western Force saw their hopes of back-to-back wins pipped in the final minutes as the Cheetahs came from behind to win 19-10 at Perth Oval.

The Brumbies are undefeated after their first four games and sit atop the Australian conference and the competition, but the Reds (4-2, 17 points) consolidated their grip on a wildcard spot.

"I saw some bits and pieces which made me feel pretty good that we are starting to climb," Reds director of coaching Ewen McKenzie said post-match.
