Recording at the Bowlos

Steve Russell (pictured) has decided to make a live CD and it’s going to be recorded in the bowling clubs of Lismore and Byron. And you’re all welcome to attend. It’s your chance to hear and enjoy Steve’s huge talent as a pianist, bandleader and composer. (The last gig this band did at the Lismore City Bowlo had people jumping in their seats.)

The Steve Russell Band will use the hot guitar talents of Matt Smith from Sydney (he’s just been in LA recording with Thirsty Merc) as well as the ‘engine room’ of Greg Lyon on bass and Scott Hills on drums.

The sound engineers are ready, the songlist is set, and the band will play the Byron Bay Bowling Club next Tuesday, November 17, from 7.30pm ($15/10), and the Lismore City Bowlo next Thursday, November 19, from 8pm. $10 gets you in.

You can be a part of these groovy nights of fine music and be a part of the recording. (Don’t bring your bongos though...)
