Rebels' list of charges from raids

THE alleged treasurer of the Ballina Rebels, Jamie Adams, will apply for bail in Southport Magistrates Court today after spending two days in solitary confinement due to tough new Queensland bikie laws.

Adams, 31, of Bangalow was arrested in NSW by police attached to Strike Force Belongil and Queensland Police from Taskforce Maxima at Nerang in the early hours of Wednesday morning while allegedly in possession of $14,000 of amphetamines.

Adams was one of five alleged Rebels members and associates arrested in eight raids at Ballina, the Gold Coast and Goodna.

In a raid on his Palm Tree Crescent home at Bangalow, police seized two rifles, a sawn-off shotgun, methamphetamine, cannabis, cocaine, steroids and cash.

Police also seized equipment they believe may have been used in a clandestine laboratory to manufacture methamphetamines.

Adams was charged with aggravated drug trafficking as police allege he was involved in the purchase and manufacture of amphetamines in NSW which were sold in Queensland.

Adams was also charged with being a participant in a criminal organisation and being knowingly present in a public place, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing instructions for producing dangerous drugs, possessing house breaking tools and driving under the influence of drugs and five counts of disqualified driving.
