Rebel Wilson says America needs Australia's gun laws

HOLLYWOOD actress Rebel Wilson has spoken out about America's gun laws, saying her adopted country should follow Australia's lead.

The Pitch Perfect Australian born actress took to Twitter after Thursdays movie theatre shooting in Louisiana to voice her concerns.

"I don't like getting political but America you really have to follow Australia's example re gun laws," she tweeted.

"I don't remember a mass shooting in Australia since they overhauled the gun laws. It seems like every week in America there's a shooting.
