Raw humour goes gold

Hannah Gadsby (pictured) is something of an overnight comic success. And she owes it all to a friend who entered her in the 2006 Raw Comedy Competition at the tender age of 28. Mandy Nolan claims her as her greatest success story, watching the self-professed lazy laconic lesbian take out national comedy gold just six months after her comedy course under Mandy’s tutelage at Byron Adult Education.

Since her win in 2006 she’s become a regular on the Australian and international comedy scene, having now performed around the country, as well as in New York and Edinburgh. She’s currently touring Australia performing her latest show, Kiss Me Quick, I’m Full Of Jubes. The show was produced by comedian and mentor Adam Hills.

Hannah will feature at the Courthouse Hotel in Mullum next Tuesday, December 15. She’ll be supported by Jess McKenzie and the evening will be hosted by the great Mandy Nolan.

Tickets are $20/15 at the door or book by phoning 6684 3443.

The laughs start at 8pm.
