Raids net $1m of meth as drug operation smashed

TWO major drug busts have netted more than $1million worth of methamphetamine and dismantled a sophisticated cannabis operation in NSW.

Raids of a unit in Sydney's central west allegedly uncovered more than 400g of the drug "ice" on late Tuesday.
Two men, aged 22 and 25, were later arrested at a hotel in Mascot.

The raids were carried out by detectives from the Asian Crime Squad, which has been targeting a group allegedly involved in the supply of ice throughout Sydney.

Police will allege the drugs seized on Tuesday had an estimated street value of $1.4million.

Hours later, more than $350,000 worth of marijuana was allegedly discovered at a property at Turramurra.
Strike Force Grassy detectives allegedly found a large hydroponics set up, 170 plants and an illegal electricity diversion.

A 22-year-old Hornsby man was charged with commercial cultivation and refused bail.
