Queensland Air Museum turns 40 in 2014

If you're looking for something to do on the Sunshine Coast this weekend, consider visiting the Queensland Air Museum.

The museum, which is located in Caloundra, has an impressive collection of aircraft and engines on display. If you want to hear the some of those engines roar, head to the museum on Saturday 11 January.

The "Aero Engine Run Day" is a display of aviation horsepower, with scheduled run times at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm.

It's a great day out for families. There will be a sausage sizzle and cold drinks, tea and coffee will be available.

Honestly, it's one of best air museums in Australia. It has an impressive collection of historical military and passenger aircraft, aircraft engines, equipment, photographs, models and books.
