Proserpine Mill’s 2013 crushing season has ended

PROSERPINE Mill's 2013 crushing season has ended.

A total of about 1.632 million tonnes of cane was crushed for the season, with an average CCS of 14.67.

Wilmar Sugar Mackay regional operations manager Danny Van der Berg said he was pleased with the mill's improved performance this year.

"It took a few weeks for the factory to settle, which wasn't helped by the rain-delayed start, but, overall, we had a pretty good run after that," he said.

Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
