Proof you're never too old to be a hoon

A 60-YEAR-OLD woman has been caught doing burnouts and hooning in a first for police.

Police were called to Scudamore Rd, Goondiwindi after reports of a car doing burnouts on Saturday about 5.20pm.

The car was intercepted on the Cunningham Hwy.

Police noticed a strong smell of burnt rubber and clumps of melted rubber on the vehicle's wheel arches.

They were shocked when they found the driver was a 60-year-old woman who admitted to the burnouts, telling police she had "just went out to have some fun".

She was booked for wilfully creating noise and smoke and lost the plates off the car for 90 days.
