Woman charged after allegedly pushing pram in front of car

UPDATE: A WOMAN has been charged with endangering children after a one-year-old child in a pram was allegedly pushed into the path of a car. 

Investigations by the Rockhampton Child Protection and Investigation Unit  indicate that the incident happened at around 9.30 am on Friday. 

Police allege a disturbance occurred on the footpath of Painswick Street between a man and a woman, and a pram containing a one-year-old child was allegedly pushed into the path of a car travelling on the road.

 

The car swerved and missed the pram.

A 21-year-old woman has been charged and is scheduled to appear before the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on July 13.

DETECTIVES from the Rockhampton Child Protection and Investigation Unit are investigating after an incident occurred in North Rockhampton this morning.

At around 9.30am a disturbance occurred on the footpath of Painswick Street between a man and a woman, and a pram containing a 1-year-old child was pushed into the path of a car travelling on the road.

The car swerved and missed the pram.

Police would like to speak with the owner of the vehicle, or anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

A 21-year-old woman is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
