THIS year's Northern Rivers Echo Poetry Cup was won by Vanya Lind of Rosebank (right) with a soulful love poem "For my sweetheart who is feeling low."
Vanya performed his poem on air at ABC Local Radio the day after his Cup win. He told The Echo the lady the poem was written for had heard it and "felt a sense of pride and happiness".
Stefanie Petrik (left) won the People's Choice award with a poem about leaving Lismore. It was her last performance at Lismore's Live Poets at the Tatts, before going to live in Melbourne. Stefanie had also won the People's Choice award in the Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup.
The Geraldine Cup, given in memory of Lismore poet Geraldine Bigelow, was won by Tanya Delys Mandorla.
