Plucking on heaven's door
ST MARK'S Church, Casino will host Strings Attached, an arvo of fine music this Sunday, October 28, with the combined talents of the Rainbow Harmony vocal quartet and the classical guitar trio Totally Plucked.
The trio features distinguished performers and teachers at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium, Mark Bromley, Jeremy White and Canadian Ryan Enns.
The entertainment kicks off at 2pm and the $10 admission includes afternoon tea.
Brisbane's jazzers bring it
THE LISMORE Jazz club brings in Brisbane's The Clem Four to the Lismore Bowlo this Sunday, October 28. Originally from Bangalow, the band has a distinguished line-up of jazz veterans.
They play from 2-5pm, charging $10 for members and students and $15 for non members.
Take the skinheads bowling
ANOTHER Lismore Bowlo gig this weekend, on Saturday, October 27, is an anti-CSG benefit show. Five bands for five bucks - a perfectly affordable way to protest and rock out at the same time. With Jamhog, Substation, Slug, Antibodies and the Dynamic Duo careering through the Bowlo stage, be there from 6pm til midnight.
Well organised KAOS
KAOS (Kyogle Arts on Sale) will showcase an exhibition and sale of artistic works inspired by Kyogle and its environs.
This is not only Kyogle's first pop-up gallery, but the first pop-up gallery set up for a NSW Keep Australia Beautiful Tidy Towns Awards weekend.

Classics in Cawongla
LOCAL flute soloist Carmelia MacWilliam is giving a classical recital with pianist Nicholas Routley this Saturday, October 27, at Hanging Rock Hall, Cawongla.
The evening's sampling of works by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Bizet, Gaubert, Rachmaninoff, Copland and Edwards will also include an occasional piece by Nicholas Routley. Tickets are $25 ($20 concession) at the door and the music starts at 7pm.
