Hotshots from the Lismore Camera Club picked up the Brother Coleman trophy at the Federation of Camera Clubs 2012 Northern Zone Convention in late May, held in Tamworth.

Pat Tyler's The Ballerina picked up first place in the large colour print category, while the most successful club member was Marie Cook with three merits, followed by David Yeend with two, winning the small print section

A collection of the victorious pics can be viewed in the window of Greg Jones' barber shop in Warina Walk, off Molesworth St, till the end of July.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
