Photos portray friendship

Winners of the Northern Rivers Schools Photographic Challenge for 2009, organised by the Lismore Camera Club, were recently unveiled with first prize going to Jess Gray of Emmanuel Anglican College Ballina for this stunning photo.

The theme was 'Friendship' and, according to Lismore Camera Club's president Kevin Bowden, the competition attracted some very creative entries, some of which were traditional darkroom prints, some taken on digital cameras and some computer-manipulated images.

Entries in the Northern Rivers Schools Photographic Challenge will be on show at this year's North Coast National, which runs from October 22 to 24 at the Lismore Showground.

Earlybird tickets for the event are now on sale, with ticket prices starting at $5 for children (under five free), $18 adults and $15 concession.

You can also purchase a family day pass (two adults and up to four children) for $40.

This entitles you to experience all the show has to offer - agricultural displays, games and rides, pavilions brimming with local produce , arts and crafts, the popular sustainability expo, live entertainment at the Cock and Bull Tent, a wearable arts fashion extravaganza, the grand parade, fireworks, workshops, markets and so much more.

To grab yourself an earlybird ticket visit www.norpa.org.au or phone 1300 066 772.
