THERE'S ripping into your Christmas presents and then there's this.

Australia Zoo's newest tiger cubs Hunter and Clarence have spent their first Christmas tearing into gifts.

The Beerwah tourist attraction showed off these photos of Hunter on Facebook today.

"Here's Hunter making easy work of getting into his present - and proudly showing how much he loves every part of it, wrapping paper included," the Facebook post read.

The twin tigers are still in their purpose-built cub enclosure but will be graduating to the Tiger Temple soon.

Hunter and Clarence, firstly named Spot and Stripes, were the first tiger cubs to be born at the zoo in its 43 year history.

They were born in August.
