Phil emmanuel

While the title of Australia's greatest electric guitar player may be hotly contested, Phil Emmanuel's (pictured) claim to the title would be hard to refuse. With his brother Tommy Emmanuel on rhythm guitar and Phil on lead, the Emmanuel Brothers began their rise to international fame in 1960 when they toured Australia with their family band. Now, with the brothers gearing up for a 50th anniversary tour next year, Phil brings his latest band line-up to the stage at Tommys Tavern on Saturday, September 26. At 9pm, The Phil Emmanuel Band will play a variety of songs spanning the 49 years of Phil's career, as well as selections from the new album Phil is currently working on. If you'd like to watch a great guitarist wow audiences with his musical prowess and technical skills, don't miss this gig. Tickets are $5 at the door.
