FINN Smith could be home in two weeks.

The adorable toddler has had some of the bandages covering his amputations removed.

Finn was rushed to the Royal Brisbane Children's Hospital last month after it was confirmed he was suffering from the deadly bacterial meningococcal.

His mum and dad, Sarah and Jason, are extremely proud of the huge progress their little boy has made since his first amputation only three weeks ago today.

Although Finn will still have to make many trips to the Royal Brisbane, doctors have suggested he may go home in two weeks.

"He has one more theatre trip next Tuesday and then they are hoping to do it (change dressings) in the ward," Mrs Smith said.

"It will be a good eight to 12 weeks to make the prosthetics as the tissue damage needs a lot of healing, but they are hoping to send us home in the meantime."

The family will have to search for a new home as the small house they rent from family in Pacific Paradise is unable to meet Finn's needs.

"I keep having visions of him falling," Mrs Smith.

The $95,000 already raised in fundraising efforts will be used for Finn's health needs.

"That money is for Finn, for his long line of medical bills," Mrs Smith said.

The outpouring of generosity for the little youngster from the Sunshine Coast shows no sign of waning.

This Sunday, Xperiences Adventure Park at Novotel Twin Waters Resort will host a fun-filled adventure day from 10am with all proceeds going to little Finn.

Owner Ray Carson said he wanted to help a "local kid" and the day would involve more than $300,000 of equipment available for use, including segways, a giant futsal field, laser guns and archery gear. Entry is $50 and includes full use, with a discount offered for families.

Creative types are also uniting to help raise funds for Finn, with local artist Clive Holden organising an auction of more than 30 artworks, ranging in value from $400 to several thousand dollars, from 2pm at Sunshine Plaza on February 1.
