Palms up for peace in Tregeagle

Palm Sunday is traditionally a day for celebrating peace so the Alstonville Anglican Parish will be holding a Muster for Peace this Sunday, March 28, at Tregeagle from 11.30am.

The day will feature music, dance, street theatre and guest speakers and Lismore councillor Ray Houston will release a flock of white doves at 2pm.

There will also be a traditional Aussie sausage sizzle lunch.

“We are keen to connect with the local community on real issues, both global and personal,” Anglican Minister Reverend Lee Shirvill said. “I am pleased we are using this Palm Sunday, the anniversary Jesus’ donkey-ride into Jerusalem in this non traditional manner.”

The church is located at the corner of Rous Road and Alphadale Road.
