A BUNDLE of 201 provisional votes counted today has pushed Clive Palmer out to a 96 vote lead as the battle for Fairfax came closer to a conclusion.

The provisional votes flowed to Mr Palmer this morning at the rate of 73.13% to the LNP's Ted O'Brien's 26.87%. Of the 201 counted  Mr Palmer secured 148 to Mr O'Brien's 53.

Counting tomorrow will allocate the remaining 337 absentee votes with the last of the postal and pre-poll ballots to be counted Saturday morning.

As of today there are 423 pre-poll and 150 postal ballots received by Fairfax Returning Officer David McKenzie with a close of business tomorrow deadline for any late arrivals.

Projections at this point place Mr Palmer on course for a 45 vote victory, an outcome that will lead to an automatic recount by the Australian Electoral Commission.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day.
