MORE than 3500 people flocked to Rockhampton's riverside carpark on Saturday night for the sixth annual Oxford Street Party.

From Triple J favourite Seth Sentry to headliner 360 and folk-rock band Busby Marou, party-goers were treated to a night of great entertainment under the stars.

Queensland Festival Events managing director Josh Jones said it was the biggest crowd the event had ever seen.

"We sold out tickets on the gate," he said.

"It went really well. All the feedback on Facebook has been really positive."

Josh said there were "no dramas" with most people on their best behaviour.

He thanked the police, security and Rockhampton Regional Council for their support.

"It's really important to have these festivals in regional Queensland," he said.

"It gives young people a reason not to complain there's nothing to do here.

As long as Rocky keeps giving (the Oxford Street Party) their support we'll keep having it."
