Outback art comp

February 24 is the deadline for entries to The John Villiers Waltzing Matilda Outback Art Show 2012.

This long-established art competition with a bush theme is one of the best-known competitions of its type. Artists from all states can try for the $12,500 in prize money and have their works exhibited at Winton in far west Queensland.

This year, the theme is 'A land of changing colours', and is open to paintings and three dimensional works. A Celebrity Prize and People's Choice will also be awarded.

Selected works must be received at the Gallery by Friday, April 13. These works will be exhibited at the Outback Regional Gallery from April 30 to June 22.
