Fred Lang will tell it almost like it is at Ballina next Thursday.

OMG its Fred!

Fred Lang has been around. Oh yeah, after 18 years doing stand-up comedy, Fred has seen it all.

From sportsman’s luncheons to poorly paid comedy clubs, from the tasteful tone of black tie society to the rough and tumble of troops on active duty, Fred has spoken and the crowds have laughed.

Fred draws his material from those very experiences, whether it’s his interest in immigration (both his parents escaped from Eastern Europe after WWI) or his belief that youth get it way too easy nowadays...

Fred’s comedy will be pertinent, insightful, clever and funny when he plays the Big Gig at Ballina RSL Club next Thursday, April 22.

Fred will be joined by Ellen Briggs, the quiet relaxed Mullum mum of twins who is as at home on a ride-on mower as she is on a 1000-seater stage. Ellen won Foxtel’s national Be A Comedian competition in 2006 and ended up performing as a national finalist in Triple J’s 2007 Raw Comedy Competition. Ellen has an easy-going, friendly nature that belies the dark wit that she presents.

The laughs start at 8pm and the gig is free!
