TREE HUGGERS: Horace and Tamara are touring their new album all over the long, hot summer.

HORACE Bevan, well known in the Northern Rivers as the guitar-wielding colossus of Bourbon Street, has joined forces with chanteuse Tamara Ward to create the duo The Troubadours.

Swapping electric guitars for acoustics and a banjo, Horace has focused his high-energy playing and refined ear to The Troubadours debut self-titled CD, recorded locally at the Old Dog Studio with Tamara's towering vocals and saxophone completing their 12 original works.

They've been launching the CD at North Coast venues throughout summer, with plenty more to go.

Coming up: tonight, Thursday, January 17, they're at the Slipway Hotel, Ballina at 7pm, and on Saturday, January 26, they play at Tommy's Lismore, from 9pm.
