Northern Rivers screenwriters to receive a big helping hand

Northern Rivers screenwriters are the proud beneficiaries of a double wallop of funding.

Federal grants announced by Federal Member for Page, Janelle Saffin MP and Federal Member for Richmond, Justine Elliot MP, as well as a helping hand from Screen NSW has given Screenworks, the Northern Rivers film, television and digital media office, a big jolt.

Screenworks are the body responsible for attracting production to the region and the professional development of Northern Rivers Screen practitioners.

The announcements and info about the opportunities that Screenworks is creating for screen practitioners in the Northern Rivers will be made at a screen industry event at Bangalow Heritage Museum from 10am on February 19.

Screenworks general manager Jill Moonie will outline the professional development program for 2013. Spaces are limited so please RSVP to Screenworks on 6687 1599 or visit www.screenworks.com.au.
