Northern Rivers hardcore sound

Well folks, looks like there’s a new venue in town.

Northern Rivers Sound in Conway St, Lismore, will be rockin’ hard and fast this Friday, January 15, when they present five punk/hardcore bands – some local, some not – for the town’s cultural edification.

Local acts Defiance and Wrecked will let the riffs fly early in the night. Brisbane’s finest young hardcore outfit Driven Fear will then rattle the rafters before Gold Coast punksters The Final Fall will play tracks off their recent EP. The boys blasted onto the hardcore scene about a year ago and haven’t looked back.

Headlining the night is One Vital Word from Newcastle, who have been touring the country promoting their self-titled EP. Tracks from the EP have been getting regular spins on Triple J.

So, sounds like head-banging heaven for all you hardcore rockers.

And it’s only $8 at the door (which opens at 6pm).

And it’s an all ages event.

(And it will be loud.)
