NiE The Indigenous Story

The Indigenous cultures of Australia are the oldest living cultures in the world. Archaeological evidence suggests that Aboriginal people may have occupied Australia for at least 60 000 years.

Even though over time Indigenous cultures have changed they have kept their culture alive by passing on their knowledge, arts, rituals and performances from one generation to another giving us an important insight in to their rich and varied traditions.

In this five part NiE special we acknowledge the significant contributions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture have on this country.
