AS THE final whistle blows at netball's international pinnacle event, an estimated 7000 goals will have been scored across the ten days of competition at this year's World Cup Netball championships being held in Sydney from August 7 to August 16.

This 14th edition of the Netball World Cup will see 16 teams from Asia, Oceania, the Americas, Europe and Africa battle it out, at two Sydney Olympic Park venues, in a bid to be crowned champions.

Each team will play in eight matches in the pools based competition and final series format.

The top six ranked teams automatically qualified for the event with the remaining 10 places filled by the top two teams from each of the five regions.

Hitting the courts at this year's tournament will be Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, Malawi, South Africa, Wales, Scotland, Fiji, Samoa, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Uganda and Zambia.
