ANZAC Day - the time of the year where Australians and New Zealanders take a moment to reflect on the experiences and stories of their war history; a time to remember the original landing on Gallipoli on April 25 in 1915 and of course the spirit of mateship between remarkable men and women who have served in wars and in peace-keeping operations throughout the world.

3.It is often suggested that the Dawn Service observed on Anzac Day has its origins in a military routine still followed by the Australian Army. The half-light of dawn was one of the times most favoured for launching an attack.
