National Parks holiday activities

The National Parks and Wildlife Service is running an impressive activity program to keep the kids and their parents entertained over the school holidays.

There will be everything from spotting night animals at the Victoria Park Nature Reserve (at Dalwood) to exploring rock pools at Hastings Point and Evans Head and making clap sticks and bullroarers with Uncle Mick Roberts in the Nightcap National Park.

There are nine activities all together and for more information and bookings you need to call 66 270 200 (then push 9 for reception).

You can also go to www.environment.nsw.gov.au/

NationalParks/Tours.aspx and click on Northern Rivers to see the full list of activities in our region.

There will also be guided tours of the Cape Byron Lighthouse being run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during the school holidays.

For times and bookings contact the Cape Byron Trust on 6685 5955.
