Music from a simpler time

The Perch Creek Family Jugband (pictured) are heading on down the road playing, singing and dancing a style of music that harks back to a simpler time when it wasn't such a big deal for families to do stuff together and have a good time doing it.

Full of surprises, the five siblings, an uncle and a boyfriend get together to play everything from rollicking hillbilly tunes to gospel to jugband jazz on just about any instrument they can get their hands (or feet) on.

Come along to the beautiful Star Court Theatre next Friday, September 18, to see them in concert and be part of their live recording! A fun, entertaining and colourful family night; dress up in your wildest old-fashioned gear and be prepared for some great high energy, feel-good jugband music. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost $10/$7 and kids get in for free.

The band will be joining the line-up later in the month at the Nimbin Show on September 26 from 10am. Also playing in the Show's musical line-up will be Jimmy Willing & the Real Gone Hick-Ups and Circus the Singing Dog. There'll also be a corroboree from Dhinawan Dreaming.
