Mullum music fest

There aren't many villages quite like Mullumbimby. It's a sort of rich man's Nimbin, I guess. It's very pretty and very user-friendly.

From November 26 -29, the village opens her venues and streets for the second annual Mullumbimby Music Festival.

And what a success the first was with plenty of music (in all genres) and a great vibe in the streets.

This year with more than 50 acts on eight stages over four days, this celebration of homegrown, chemical-free organic music will include folk, pop, rock, gypsy, reggae, country, indie and acoustic. It's a family friendly weekend when the whole town just pulses with sound.

It features acts such as Archie Roach, Shane Howard, the enigmatic Tex Perkins, swinging ska punk with the Russian sensation Vulgagrad and festival finds such as the indie country folk of Sal Kimber and the Rollin' Wheel, Hawaiian born daughter of a showgirl Simone White, Australia's leading jazz vocalist Vince Jones, afro dance beats from Afro Dizzi Act with Senegal's Jali Buba Kuyateh, and a whole heap more.

Day tickets, season tickets and opening night tickets are available now from www.mullummusic
