Last Sunday was a big night in Tamworth.

With a plethora of cuban-heels, tight jeans, Akubras and skin cancer scars, the 38th Country Music Awards of Australia were announced. And the night belonged to Grafton lad Troy Cassar-Daley, who walked away with six awards.

That makes 20 Golden Guitar awards the country singer has won in his illustrious country music career.

He was a finalist for eight awards but won the following –

  • APRA Song of the Year: Big Big Love written and recorded by Troy Cassar-Daley.
  • Vocal Collaboration of the Year: Ain’t Gonna Change For You by Troy Cassar-Daley & The McClymonts.
  • Single of the Year: Big Big Love by Troy Cassar-Daley.
  • Heritage Song of the Year: Chasin’ Rodeo written and recorded by Troy Cassar-Daley.
  • Male Artist of the Year: Troy Cassar-Daley.
  • Album of the Year: I Love This Place by Troy Cassar-Daley and produced by Rod McCormack, Troy Cassar-Daley and Jeff McCormack.
