IT SEEMS that Rockhampton's big baby Oliver Stock is still making big news, more than a month after he was born.
Speaking to the Bully yesterday, mum Patricia Stock said that "Ollie", as he is affectionately known, has caused quite a media stir and currently features in the latest edition of New Idea.
"We've had them all (offering to do stories on Ollie), Woman's Day, Today Tonight, you name it, but we sort of thought it was a bit too much," she said.
Ollie first made headlines in the Morning Bulletin the day after he was born on February 9, when he came into the world weighing 6.76kg
"We decided after New Idea that would be it. We love that people are interested in Ollie, but we're just not that outgoing," she said.
"I honestly didn't really think anything of it at first, so it's been a bit of a surprise to get this sort of attention. It's all been good though."
The mother of two said that Ollie was very placid and had not been bothered by all the attention he had received.
"He's a good baby; he's usually really quiet and pretty easy going, and he certainly hasn't been out of his comfort zone," she said.
