Mazstock is back

Last year there was a little birthday gig for the woman who helped support local live music when she was running the Winsome Hotel. The gig was called Mazstock. That little gig ended up being a HUGE event, blocking North Lismore traffic and providing a big and appreciative audience for the nine bands that performed. Well, one year later Mazstock is back, bigger and better!

The venue is the Italo Club in North Lismore, one of the best venues in the area. The date is Saturday, May 22. There’ll be 17 bands playing over nine hours on two stages. Headlining is Wollongong underground legends The New Christs, who played a packed-out show to the faithful in Lismore last year and still rate their Lismore show as the best gig on their national tour.

Also performing are those psych rockers from the 80s, Pineapples From The Dawn of Time, plus The Shake Up (from Sydney), and Skeletons of the Devil – a collaboration of disabled band members put together by RED Inc. Add to that 14 local bands and you have Mazstock 2010.

Tickets are $22 pre-sale from Music Bizarre in Lismore or $25 at the door.
