Man dies after being hit in head by his toy helicopter

A MAN has died after being hit in the head by his remote-controlled helicopter, a US TV news service has reported.

New York-based WABC-TV today reported the 19-year-old was operating the  toy helicopter when it struck him in the head in a park in Gravesend, Brooklyn.

The report said the man apparently lost control and the helicopter fell, with the rotor blade striking him in the head as it was spinning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
