Man charged after wedding reception 'glassing'

A WEDDING guest who allegedly "glassed" a man with a champagne flute at a reception in Sydney's north has been charged.

Police allege a 49-year-old man was sitting outside a function centre at Pyrmont when he was struck in the back of a head by another guest late Sunday.

The victim was treated for head injuries.

A 21-year-old man has since been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, armed with intent to commit indictable offence and resist police.

He was refused bail.
