Man arrested after liquid ecstasy find: police

JUST hours before New Year's Eve celebrations are set to kick off, more than $1 million in liquid ecstasy was found in the boot of a car headed for Sydney's party precinct.

Since last Thursday detectives had been tracking the movement of drugs in Sydney's eastern suburbs and on Monday a man was pulled over at Bondi Junction.

Inside his car police allegedly found seven 25-litre bottles of liquid ecstasy also known as Fantasy.

At his home police allegedly found $28,000 cash.

The man was arrested and refused bail and will front court again on January 8.
