'Low-life creeps' steal instruments from The Black Sorrows

AUSTRALIAN blues rock band The Black Sorrows is appealing for public assistance after some "low-life creeps" stole musical instruments, equipment and personal items from vocalist Joe Camilleri's car.

The band took to Facebook on Saturday to share photos of the items stolen including Camilleri's "one-off, hand painted by Victor Rubin" saxaphone.

"What these a**holes expect to do with that sax is anyone's guess," the band wrote.

Other items stolen include a Nash guitar with "distinct markings", small amp, pedals, CDs and a ring.

According to the band's post the thieves broke into Camilleri's car in Parkville, Victoria early on Saturday morning.

They are asking for people to share their post to spread the word and see if they can get the gear back.

So far the post has been shared more than 13,000 times.
