Lolohea arrives at struggling Tigers

THE first injection of new blood, Tuimoala Lolohea, has arrived at Wests Tigers and he can play for the joint venture in Saturday's clash with St George Illawarra.

Lolohea, 22, joined his new teammates for training on Monday after weeks of lobbying by the Tigers for an early release from the Warriors.

The utility back has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the second-last placed Tigers, who released five-eighth Mitchell Moses to Parramatta this month.

Lolohea, who has played one Test for New Zealand in 2015, is likely to partner Luke Brooks in the halves this season but is expected to be the club's fullback replacement for Sydney Roosters-bound James Tedesco.

His arrival follows the signing of Josh Reynolds, Russell Packer, Ben Matulino and Chris McQueen for next year.

Regular first-graders Josh Aloiai, Michael Chee Kam, David Nofoaluma, Moses Suli and Brooks have re-signing with the club.
