Local singer-songwriter David Davies will play songs from his new CD Pirate Dreams when he plays the Border Ranges Centre at Wadeville (aka Wadeville Woolies) this Sunday, March 14. David has been performing in the Northern Rivers area for many years with his partner Genevieve as the Gypsy Rollers Puppet Theatre. There’ll be cameo performances from some of the marionettes at this funky venue in the bush. Cold beer, hot food and cool tunes from 4-8pm.
A new band in town, The Kelly Gang, is a trio of local musos with a wealth of experience tucked into their collective belt. They’ll play with a variety of genres when they perform at the Australian Hotel in Ballina this Friday, March 12, from 7pm. You’ll hear songs from a repertoire that ranges from Jeff Lang to Johnny Cash, from rock to reggae.
Mossy Rocks is a funk rock covers band. That means you will just have to dance when the band plays the Richmond Hotel in Lismore this Friday, March 12, from 9pm. Lead singer Amanda Moss, lead guitarist Lucas Zorzo, drummer Brendan Mackney, Black Lullaby’s Gav Bourke on bass, and Dolphin Award winner Matt Hill on keyboards will play all the songs that get you movin’.
