Lismore’s new city centre manager starts next month

LISMORE City Council has appointed Renee Moehead as Lismore's new city centre manager.

While Renee has worked at the Sydney Opera House for the past decade managing major events, she originally comes from the Northern Rivers area and began her event management career working with NORPA on productions such as The Flood.

Council's executive director of sustainable development and Lismore Business Promotion Panel chair Brent McAlister said Renee's background and local knowledge would be an asset.

"Renee is replacing Katie O'Rourke, who held the City Centre manager position for two years and implemented the fantastic "Come to the Heart" branding, as well as a variety of activities such as the city markets and the successful Back Alley Gallery street art project," Mr McAlister said.

"Katie should be congratulated for her very successful time in the role.

"She made an immense contribution to Lismore."
