Like driving dodgem cars

I TRAVEL between Lismore and Coraki regularly for work and was wondering if there was some sort of method or system for repairing the badly potholed Coraki Rd.

I have noticed some potholes have been patched (mostly on the straight stretches) and yet others are left gaping (mostly on the outer edge of blind corners).

I also discovered recently that the part of Coraki Rd called Ruthven Straight has been "patched up" since 1954 when the Queen came to visit Lismore from Evans Head, travelling through Coraki.

I am aware that due to the large area rural councils struggle to keep our roads reasonable and safe, but driving in the country used to be a pleasure, now it's like driving dodgem cars.
