Landscape prize on again
Now in its eighth year, the Country Energy Art Prize for Landscape Painting – Countryscapes – is open for entries.
Port Macquarie’s Glasshouse Arts, Conference and Entertainment Centre will be home for this year’s competition. It will host the announcement of the winner and the subsequent exhibition of the finalists’ works later in the year.
The $35,000 prize has seen a steady increase in the quality of entries over the past eight years, highlighting the popularity and importance of the competition for artists and communities across regional NSW.
Entries close on Friday, June 25, with finalists exhibited at the Glasshouse Arts, Conference and Entertainment Centre in Port Macquarie from September 30 to November 28.
Entry forms are available from local art galleries, Country Energy centres, or from www.country
energy.com.au (where you can also find out more about the comp).
