Kyogle Xmas art show needs poets

Roxy Gallery in Kyogle is gearing up for its annual Christmas Art Blitz opening on Saturday, December 19.

The title of this year’s show (featuring heaps of affordable art) is Santa said: “Eskimo Nell Will Not Be Appearing”. Roxy Gallery is seeking artists wishing to get their art out and under someone’s Christmas tree. Expressions of interest can be obtained from the Roxy Gallery in Kyogle’s main drag during opening hours. Or phone the gallery on 6632 3518.

For something a bit different the opening night will feature bush verse. (Hooray!) The Kyogle Writers Group is inviting all bush poets to showcase their poetic skills at the opening.

If you want to read your or your favourite poet’s work, phone Bett Taylor on 6632 1153 (and tell her in rhyming couplets why you want to. Only joking...).
