King is guitar queen

Kaki King was born holding a guitar. It’s not so much a musical instrument to her as an extension of her being. She doesn’t so much play guitar as sings through her six-stringed appendage.

This American’s credits include a Golden Globe nomination with Eddie Vedder for the original score of Into The Wild, recording of an original score for CNN’s Heroes, a Kaki King signature guitar through Ovation, performances on Letterman’s Late Show, Conan O’Brien, Jools Holland and our own Spicks ‘N Specks (twice), a spot in the 20 Guitar Gods named by Rolling Stone Magazine and of course, sell-out shows around the world.

And Kaki is back in this wide, fat land, with an appearance at Woodford Folk Festival (who isn’t playing at Woodford?) and a gig at the Great Northern Hotel in Byron on Thursday, January 7.
