Kidnapping-accused to remain behind bars

A BALLINA man accused of kidnapping a woman at Coffs Harbour's Plantation Hotel will remain behind bars for at least another two months.

Jeremy Waters, 22, was arrested at Ballina in November last year after he was allegedly captured on CCTV footage exiting the hotel's female toilets, dragging an unconscious woman by her clothes and dumping her in a store room.

He applied for bail in the NSW Supreme Court on Monday but the presiding judge requested some medical reports before making a decision.

Waters will front court again on June 25.
