Karara bushfire remains contained with crews monitoring

THERE'S still some smoke around from the Karara bushfire but it remains contained with crews continuing to monitor it.

A spokeswoman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said last night crews checked some fire breaks and did some mopping up.

There are very few visible flames remaining from the bushfire.

The spokeswoman advised residents to keep an eye on QFES social media channels for any changes in the situation.
