Jimmy's beer garden of Eden

Lismore town has lacked the pleasures of a good honky tonk for some time now since the closing of the Winsome Hotel. But here’s the good news – the beer garden at the Northern Rivers Hotel in North Lismore is re-opening for music. Hooray! The last band to play the beer garden was The Whitlams well over a decade ago.

This Saturday, April 17, Jimmy Willing & The Real Gone Hick-Ups will play the beer garden from 1pm. Also playing are Kim McLean & Black Train, Captain Freedom, and that canine with bladder issues, Circus the Singing Dog.

But wait, there’s more… The gig is free! Double hooray!

Also Jimmy Willing had his glow-in-the-dark Jesus stolen from the stage of The Buddha Bar in Byron during his recent gig there. Without His light, Jimmy’s life is hell. If you know where the Real Gone Jesus is, you can return Him to Jimmy at this gig, no questions asked. (And you get to heaven free!)
