Jazz, with pop options

And now for something very different.

The Jazz-Bah at the Ballina Hotel will feature the Macklin/Newcomb duo this Saturday, January 16.

Vocalist Hannah Macklin and pianist Steve Newcomb are two of Brisbane’s most in-demand musos. With a repertoire of their original compositions, modern jazz and heavily layered pop, the duo uses a lot of innovative sounds, some spunky arrangements and plenty of onstage interaction in their show. And Hannah’s voice... mmm.

The pair is promoting their debut EP, Paper Cranes.

This will be a very cool gig on a hot summer night by the sea.

The fun starts at 6pm.

Entry is, amazingly, free.
