Jah love at the unibar

University has almost finished for another year and with it comes a chance to dance with two of Northern NSW's top acts.

Jah Love & DJ Kayhat are playing at the Unibar next Thursday, September 17. Jah Love are one of the North Coast's most pumpin' reggae outfits. Formed in 2007, the band are notorious for their high energy, highly danceable, performance-mixing elements of roots reggae, drum 'n' bass, heavy dub and fiery afro-beat.

The band creates a party atmosphere where the average punter stands little chance of resisting the grooves. Expect some songs by the likes of Bob Marley, Toots and the Maytals, even Pink Floyd! The night is extra special as Jah Love are also launching their debut EP, which will be available to purchase on the night. Bring your dancing shoes and help fuel the blazing fire!

Turning the night will be local infamous DJ legend Kayhat, who will take everyone on a magical mystery journey through the world of alternative electronic music, playing fun music and giving the crowd some food for thought whilst shaking their booties to the groove.

“I'm going to make sure that this set will be one not to forget,” DJ Kayhat said. “Lismore crowds rock the most out of everywhere I've ever played.”

Kayhat and Jah Love are encouraging everyone to have a fun and safe night, to drink responsibly and look after one another. There will be a safety bus that will help revellers get to and from their on-campus accomodation. Tickets go on sale from Monday, September 14, but are limited and expected to sell out. Tickets $5 for students and $10 for guests at the Unibar.
